Rita Bledsoe, has been doing pottery since her first class at a local community center when she was 14 years old. Her parents then bought her a secondhand wheel to continue building her skills, she kept her passion and moved forward developing her talent  all through high school and various community colleges, until her young children got more of her attention. Fast forward a few decades to 2020 and her now adult children & grandchildren gifted her a bag of clay, a starter set of tools and a gift certificate to cover firing. Thanks to a lot of videos, trial and error, and several bags of clay, it didn’t take long for her obsession with throwing to take over and be a great ceramics artist again.
