Efton Edwards has been very interested in various aspects of art from a very early age “Probably because my father, grandmother and uncle were all artists.” He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University but not with an art degree so he did some postgraduate study in art at North Texas State as well as Fort Worth museum of modern art and various private art lessons. From that point on he was self taught and he has always felt that traditional realistic painting is the most satisfying type of painting for him. He works primarily in oil paint but has worked with acrylic, watercolor, graphite and pastel. Efton lives with his wife Carolyn in company of their dogs, Bart and Bella, on their estate in Scroggins.
