This popular, juried festival attracts talented participating artists from around the country. In addition to the variety of art, Texas wineries show off award-winning wines by providing tastings and bottles for sale. Specialty foods and other vendors attend as well. Live music provides entertainment on both Friday and Saturday.
The Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival is an art and wine lover’s mecca with a bountiful feast for the eyes, heart, and soul. We’re serious about our arts culture in Winnsboro. Our Cultural Arts District was one of the first of seven locations to receive the official Cultural District Designation from the State of Texas in 2009 and we’ve been moving and shaking things up ever since.
Maydelle Country Wines is a small family run winery that sits out at the edge of the little town of Maydelle, Texas. The Texas State Railroad runs through the forested back yard, rattling the windows of our old depot as it passes. Just outside a town saturated in history, Maydelle Winery resides within an old train depot from the 1800’s. The Harpers have been on this hillside since the early 1970’s, and have raised three generations of children in these woods.

I’m Erwin Cain. I have been growing grapes and making wine in East Texas for over 20 years. Recognizing that East Texas has a unique environment that only favors the heartiest varieties of grapes, I finally found what I was searching for. To marquee the bold and lustrous wines from several exquisite grape varieties, Cicada Ridge Vineyard was established. Come and be surprised by the bright fragrance of the Blanc du Bois, the honey butter profile of the Ambulo Blanc, the bold Camminare Noir, and others. Landon Winery is an award-winning Texas winery founded by Bob Landon in 2005, beginning with its first tasting room in Historic Downtown McKinney.
